We have had 3 returning residents and 29 applicants waitlisted. 1,603 CARE DAYS PROVIDED DURING 2020-2021 Since we have opened, we have been able to serve 15 women and 2 babies. We refer to the women in our program Residential Interns. TVF'S PROGRAM 2020 - 2021 1ST SAFE HOUSE OPENED We opened the doors to our first safe home on January 6th, 2020 with the capacity to serve 4 women. VISION Grow the capacity of our current program from 5 to 12 beds, launch a medical outreach program, launch our first community for minors, and become a model that can be replicated throughout the United States. No other agency in North Texas can match TVF’s program with intensive, long-term mental health services and supportive programming that focuses on developing stability. We provide food, shelter, education, and trauma care for survivors of sexual exploitation. We are currently at full capacity in our safe home, with a long waitlist, so our goal for 2022 is to expand adjacent to our current property and increase our bed count from 5 to 12 beds. For all of these reasons and more, we want to thank you and remind you that without your dedication and generosity, none of this would be possible. You are the reason we are able to provide women with a safe space where they can come to heal their mind, body, and spirit. That is why we pioneered our program and are looking to empower our community with new tools, resources, and connections in this coming year. We believe that an individualized approach and mental health focus are essential to transforming the wellbeing of women impacted by the trauma of sexual exploitation. Without our program, the young women we serve would not only be homeless but would also continue to be exploited. Dallas ranks #2 in Texas for human trafficking with an estimate of 79,000 minor and youth victims. One survivor shared, \"Just because the world is on hold, does not mean that human trafficking has hit a pause button.\" We have seen an increase in applications for our program since the beginning of Covid-19, and yet we do not have the capacity to serve each young woman. Two years ago, our 5-year long journey became a reality, when we opened up our first safe home. Longterm shelters, like Treasured Vessels Foundation (TVF), are a vital lifeline to sex trafficking FOUNDER | CEO victims in need of a safe place to heal and recover. Traffickers typically isolate their victims from their friends and family, leaving the women far from Alicia Bush home. Women who are being trafficked are in need of A MESSAGE FROM shelter but often find themselves in places they fear OUR FOUNDER the most. We have designed a collaborative and comprehensive program through community partnerships to serve sex trafficking survivors with the most complex of trauma.
